Ipswich Town eye Cesare Casadei loan deal if he returns to Chelsea

Ipswich Town are reportedly in line to sign Cesare Casadei on loan from Chelsea, with the Italian midfielder having impressed at Torino, as Ipswich Town push for promotion with 80 goals scored and 47 conceded

Ipswich Town could sign Cesare Casadei on loan if he returns to Chelsea. The 23-year-old midfielder has scored 8 goals in 34 starts for Torino.

Cesare Casadei joined Chelsea from Inter Milan in 2023 and had loan spells at Reading and Leicester. He made a £13m switch to Torino on January transfer deadline day 2025.

Ipswich Town are currently 2nd in Championship with 84 points, 23W-15D-8L from 46 games, and recent form WDDWD. They have scored 80 goals and conceded 47, with a goal difference of +33.

Chelsea included a sell-on clause of between 25 and 27.5 per cent in Casadei's deal with Torino. This could allow them to bring him back for a reduced fee. Other clubs, including Brighton, Everton, and Real Betis, have also been linked with the midfielder.
