Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna linked with Fulham job, while midfielder Tim Iroegbunam and striker Liam Delap's futures are also in the spotlight. The big story of the week, Town boss McKenna is currently the bookies' favourite to become the next Fulham manager. It comes after Marco Silva confirmed he would depart Craven Cottage after five years, having led them to 11th place in the Premier League in 2025/26. He is expected to take over at Benfica once Jose Mourinho's move to Real Madrid is confirmed. TalkSPORT report that Fulham are keen on McKenna, but are aware of the expensive £8m buy-out clause in his contract. Ex-Brentford boss Thomas Frank is also a contender, while Frank Lampard, Jose Bordalas, Edin Terzic, Liam Rosenior and Arne Slot are also among the main names on the odds list. Verdict: Fulham's interest is clearly genuine. I do think that McKenna's buy-out clause could put them off, with appealing free-agent options available. Don't discredit the Cottagers as a 'smaller club', as some have put on social media – they are further along this journey than Town are after establishing in the Premier League, which is an important factor. But I'm not convinced that this is the right step for McKenna, who has turned down better jobs in the past to remain at Portman Road. TWTD report that Everton midfielder Iroegbunam is on a list of targets for Town this summer. The 22-year-old has been at Everton since 2024, having previously spent time at Aston Villa, with a loan spell at QPR. Iroegbunam featured 29 times in the Premier League last season, starting 17 games. He bagged assists against both Fulham and Wolves. SportsBoom have said that Bundesliga duo Borussia Dortmund and Stuttgart are in the race to sign him, but that Everton are not looking to sell. The Toffees are, however, keen on buying Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney, which could limit Iroegbunam's game time further. Verdict: An interesting player for Town to monitor. Iroegbunam is one I've highlighted as a potential target in the past. I like his physical profile, even if some of his elements need work. He wouldn't be top of my list, and I'd seriously question those German links, but he's a young player with good experience at Premier League level. Not a direct link to Ipswich, but there's plenty of news about Delap, who has had a torrid time at Chelsea so far. The striker moved to Stamford Bridge in a £30m deal from Town last summer, but he has started just 12 games in the Premier League with 16 cameos, scoring once. BBC Sport claim that 'Delap remains committed and wants at least another season to prove his doubters wrong. The 23-year-old's commitment is reflected in his decision to buy a house locally, while his coaches - Enzo Maresca, Liam Rosenior and most recently Calum McFarlane - have all highlighted his work-rate behind the scenes.' While Delap is keen to remain at Chelsea, there are clear question marks over his future, with Emanuel Emegha joining from Strasbourg this summer while Nicolas Jackson will return from his loan spell at Bayern Munich. 'Unlike Delap, [Joao] Pedro is currently part of a group of 'untouchable' players at Stamford Bridge, alongside Cole Palmer, Reece James and Moises Caicedo,' the report adds. 'This does not mean Chelsea are actively looking to sell Delap but his relatively low transfer fee would make him easier to move on.
