What's at stake for McAteer?
Kasey McAteer has been told he's part of Gary O'Neil's plans for the season ahead, but several EFL clubs, including West Brom, have been linked to the Republic of Ireland international. Despite this, McAteer is not available for transfer.
Ogbene's uncertain future
Chiedozie Ogbene, on the other hand, has been made available for a sale or loan. The 29-year-old has made just six starts and three sub appearances for Ipswich since joining from Luton Town in the summer of 2024. A season-ending Achilles injury cut short his initial Premier League campaign, and he has struggled to regain his form.

Ipswich take on French club Le Havre in their latest friendly match, at Portman Road, this evening (7.45pm). The Blues are also closing in on the £16m addition of Portuguese midfielder Florentino Luis from Burnley, with the 26-year-old having passed a medical yesterday.
