Ipswich Town's new state-of-the-art training ground officially opens today. The £30m investment is a sign of the club's ambition and commitment to providing the best possible environment for its players and staff. Chairman Mark Ashton spoke to Stuart Watson about the impact of the new facility on the team's performance and recruitment.
The new training ground features a range of new facilities, including a retina scan entry system, boot drying tech, a bone density scanner, a multi-faith room, and a hydrotherapy pool. The facility also includes a fully-kitted gym and altitude training room to increase strength and fitness.
The new training ground is a major upgrade from the club's previous facilities, which were described as "dated and not fit for purpose." The new facility will provide the club's players and staff with a competitive edge, allowing them to train and recover in the best possible conditions.
With the new training ground now open, Ipswich Town can focus on the next stage of its development. The club is currently 11 points behind leaders Coventry in the Championship, but with its new facilities and a strong squad, it's well-placed to make a push for promotion.
