Ipswich Town claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory away to Crystal Palace on Saturday. The win lifts Kieran McKenna's side to ninth in the Premier League with six points from four games.
Emersonn cancelled out Anan Khalaili's early opener for the hosts, before Leif Davis put Ipswich ahead just before half-time. Jörgen Strand Larsen equalised for Palace in the 75th minute, but Zian Flemming struck a 90th-minute winner to seal all three points for the visitors.
Davis delivers
Leif Davis was central to the turnaround, providing the assist for Emersonn's 23rd-minute leveller and then scoring the go-ahead goal himself from an Emersonn pass just before the interval. The result marks a second consecutive league win for Ipswich, following their 3-1 victory over Leicester, and improves their recent form to three wins from their last five matches.
The club confirmed Emersonn picked up an injury during the match and joins Jack Taylor on the sidelines.
With the three points, Ipswich now sit just two points behind eighth-placed Everton, who they face next at Goodison Park on 19 September. The team's next run of games is available on our fixtures page.
