Ipswich Town are now competing with Hull City for Lazio left-back Luca Pellegrini. As of 07 Jul 2026, Ipswich Town sit 2nd in Championship, 84 pts, 23W-15D-8L from 46 games, recent form WDDWD. Hull City and Ipswich Town are both named among the clubs monitoring the defender. Luca Pellegrini endured a frustrating second half of last season, featuring in only four Serie A matches from March onwards. Pellegrini's versatility remains one of his biggest attractions, as he is capable of operating as a wing-back or drifting into midfield. Ipswich Town, along with Hull City, will be looking to capitalize on Lazio's potential willingness to sell, with the defender's contract situation making this a realistic window for a transfer. With 80 goals scored and 47 conceded, Ipswich Town have a +33 goal difference, and are 11 points behind leaders Coventry. Ipswich Town's interest in Pellegrini adds another layer to the transfer saga, with Espanyol also in the running. The Spanish club admire Pellegrini's profile and experience, but are aware that English clubs could hold a financial advantage. As the summer transfer window continues, Ipswich Town will be looking to strengthen their squad, and the signing of Pellegrini could be a key move. With the club's current league standing and recent form, the addition of a player like Pellegrini could be a significant boost in their push for promotion.
