Chris Casement has left his coaching role at Ipswich Town, ending a twelve-year association with the club. The 38-year-old former defender, who made 14 senior appearances for the Tractor Boys, had been working within the academy setup at Playford Road.

Casement returned to the club in the summer of 2021 as loans manager before moving into coaching. He worked with the U16 and U18 sides and, from September 2024, co-coached the U21 team alongside John McGreal. He briefly led the U16s this summer before his departure.

"Today my time at Ipswich Town FC has come to an end," Casement posted on LinkedIn. He added, "A special mention to John McGreal. I absolutely loved working alongside John with the U21s." He expressed gratitude to the club's staff and players.

His exit comes as the first team, managed by Kieran McKenna, handles its Premier League campaign. Ipswich currently sit 11th in the table with six points from five games. Their next match is at home to 19th-placed Fulham on 10 October.

Casement was part of the Ipswich squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2005. His six years in coaching roles capped a combined dozen years connected to Portman Road. The club has not yet announced a replacement for his position within the youth structure.
